A former multi-sport athlete and coach, Trey’s journey in sports began at Greene Central High School, where he played football, basketball, and ran track before competing in track at North Carolina Central University. His passion for the game extended beyond playing, as he later spent eight years coaching football and track at Greene Central, serving as the head JV football coach, defensive backs coach, and a highly successful head track coach.

Now a sports journalist and digital media strategist, Trey has spent years covering high school, college, and professional athletics, delivering in-depth coverage, exclusive interviews, and expert analysis. His work spans local rivalries, national tournaments, and international events, including coverage in the Bahamas.

With a Bachelor of Science in Human Health Performance, Trey blends his deep knowledge of athletics with a passion for storytelling, giving athletes the recognition they deserve. His journalism career has taken him across the country, covering games at some of the biggest venues, voting on ACC awards, and conducting exclusive recruiting analysis for Tar Heel Illustrated. He also plays a key role in expanding Pirate Pulse, covering ECU athletics.
